Re: Tommy Emmanuel - Classical Gas
Been a Tommy E fans for years, check out his U tube stuff. Doyle Dykes is just as good in a more toned down sort of way. Both excellent at their craft.

Loved it; and I never heard of him, either. What a talent.

Re: Tommy Emmanuel - Classical Gas
If you enjoy Tommy E you should check out Michael Hedges.
Quote:
Michael Hedges is perhaps the most innovative and kinetic acoustic guitarist in the history of the instrument, but he is first and foremost a composer who plays guitar, not a guitarist who plays compositions. His innovative techniques are a means to an end resulting from the demands of his compositions rather than conspicuous attempts at virtuosity.

Wow, and he can dance at the same time. With this cast on, I've learned to tie my shoes with one hand. But now I think I need a stretch goal....

Re: Tommy Emmanuel - Classical Gas
Watching his "Guitar Boogie" right now. Apparently I don't get out much. I've not heard of him. Thanks for the link. Very cool.
