Top Ten Car Chase Scenes

" It's a Mad, Mad, Mad Mad World"

One of my all-time favorite movies, has been since I was about 10 years old.

The chase scenes last throughout the movie, the star-studded cast is great, and are cameos are absolutely hysterical.

Not a serious car-chase movie like "Vanishing Point" or "Bullit", but great, nonetheless.

I'd agree with most of the picks so far, and add one: "The Driver" (Ryan O'Neal, Bruce Dern, 1978). The one-car "chase scene" in a parking garage as Ryan O'Neal "auditions" to be a getaway driver for a bunch of thugs is a lot of fun. The movie was nothing to write home about, but this scene is good. Sorry, couldn't find a clip of it online.

What? No "Blues Brothers"!!!

- It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. - Hit it.

Classically overdone to the point of absurdity.

Check this one out and tell me, it shouldn't have been included.
Go to about 9 min for a good ending

Definitely should have been included. I just reserved that and Ronin at the library.

SPOILER ALERT:

But tell me, after the cop gets shot at with the sawed off shotgun, why does he drive up right next to the crooks? And there's no way that that crash would have been survived.
