Wow where did the time go. Nice little interview with Toto today.

I think they put out a lot of great music over the years and still enjoy listening to it today. Yesterday morning played Toto 4 CD (yes a real CD) while we were getting ready to get out of the house for a few hours last song was Africa. Then we were out looking at some homes for sale and first home we step into had some background music playing in the background and it was Africa playing..strange coincidence. Then this morning came across this on TV today...

This is a fun read for Toto fans.....

It was groups like Toto that gave me hope for music in the 80s.

They've been one of my favorite bands over the years. A couple of the members have died off but they keep at it.

I was lucky to see them in a smaller venue a few years back playing at a Casino nearby. It was a great show and up close so you could actually see it was them unlike the mega concerts when you sit so far back it really could be stand ins down there on stage.

Weezer (& Weird AL) did a respectful cover of this song too. One of my early memories of music...

H and I watched the piece on Toto yesterday. I had forgotten how many hits they had!

I saw it Sunday morning. Was not really a fan, but I would listen to it when it came on the radio rather than change the station.

"Africa" is one of my all-time favs, to this day. "Rosanna" is another one I still listen to occasionally. Hearing those songs takes me instantly back to the good old days(?) of my teens.

Luke is such a great and respected guitarist. I felt some of this was a bit of a sellout. But hey, gotta pay the bills. And college tuition. And new cars and… :)

Yes, back when I was young - in my 30s.

Kind of same for me, not really my choice, but close enough to listen through it. It is a bit hard to believe that 40 years since "Africa".

A great band SONG will take you to that special time … we recently seen The Who, steely Dan, kid rock, Chicago and the eagles in 2022. Ya for us….. o and a great cover band on a sun set cruise in key west …..

Saw them recently. Lukather was the only original one that night. Got to say thought, their sound was amazing! All superb musicians and vocals.
The original guys were top notch studio musicians that played on many tracks of many superstars. Adding Bobby Kimball's vocals was the magic ingredient that helped propel them to global success.

Africa was one of the few songs I have never tired of hearing, and I've heard it a lot.

"Africa" is high on my list, and "99".

I saw them play it live in 2015, and their live performance was excellent. Pretty much stole the show from Yes, the band I was mainly there to see.

Great band! My fave is I'll Be Over You. But lots of good stuff. Also like 99.
Yeah I'll be over you is a great song...my favorite is still Hold the line.... Bobby Kimball really hits some great notes on that one.

Love watching all their old videos on YouTube.
Nice interview with them on Hold the line...
