Train Troubles

I hope none of you have had to deal with the Long Island Rail Road the last few days. The nation's busiest commuter rail system, it had a fire Monday in a switch tower which controls the train movement through Jamaica, its hub station. The last few days have seen lots of canceled trains and delays and overcrowding on those which are operating, and these problems will likely continue for the rest of the week.

Transit Headaches Continue For LIRR Riders CBS New York- News, Sports, Weather, Traffic and the Best of NY

I have written many times in this forum how much I hated my commute in the last several years of working before I retired in 2008. This kind of stuff would drive me up the wall, even though my commute was only 2 or 3 days a week in the last 5 years I worked. But now, I can sit at home and point to these reports on TV and be glad, just so GLAD, that my days of riding the LIRR are OVER and I don't have to deal with this kind of stuff which wore me out and made me depressed.
