water heater failed .. need a new one ... tankless?

More tempted by the hybrid water heaters.

Haven’t read all the responses here but stay away from Hybrid water heaters. Ours just failed and good riddance. Was not happy with its performance and maintenance quirks.
Replaced with a much bigger standard stainless steel tank with a lifetime (not sure who’s) warranty.

Well so far so good. It works well but, hot water lag is there.
A bit more than before but the tank system had that problem as well.

Glad to get rid of the tank.
