What is this "check with neighbors" business? You think they would know?

You know how deep your well is and your flow rate. I do also as do most of my neighbors since I asked them about it before we drilled our well. I would think that they would also know or could look it up.

If most of your neighbors are 250'-350' and getting over 20 gal/minute then it is a whole different situation than if they are all 700'-900' and getting less than 10 gal/minute.

Also, as mentioned previously, most states maintain a "well log" that shows the depth and type of soil/rock, etc of all water wells. These are fairly automated today, so it's often easy to find out what type of wells exist nearby, and sometimes their initial flow rates.
