I have a small vice ony desk that I found helpful from time to time using it as an extra hand for soldering and hand crafting.

The one you ordered looks to be more for automotive repair and home improvement projects.

Artificial Christmas Tree!
It's early, but it was on sale. And we threw out ours last year so it was time for a new one.

Two 13 x 6 wooden propellers for an Extra 300 R/C airplane. On Amazon they're fractionally cheaper, but the biggie was free shipping so that saved $5. I forgot to buy the extra props when I ordered the airplane.

Also, having two extra propellers in the flight box guarantees that I'll never break a propeller on that airplane. The wings might fall off, but the prop won't break.

Benjamin. I have just 3 words for you. "Back up camera." Actually, I don't know if that works on a trailer or not - can't think WHY not, but YMMV.

Motion detecting nightlights. They run on AA batteries.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I already have a bunch like this and they are a reasonable choice. But, I have had them for years and one or two need to be replaced, plus I can always use another one. Great choice for any of us who are growing older and prefer not to fall when shuffling down the hall in the middle of the night.

I like the battery operated ones like these, because they work even during power outages. I put them up in groups, that provide multiple redundancies in case the batteries of one need to be changed.

Tri-Flow bicycle chain lube. I have to keep the bikes/trikes running and they are getting on in years.

Cheers!

Just ordered some new work shoes for the yard. I normally just sacrifice my least presentable sneakers but I really didn’t have an “old” pair to use. Plus, I wanted to get something that was more suited to yard work. I got some with a steel toe and a non-slip sole. I looked at some leather work boots, but I wanted something more comfortable and something I could slip on and off easier. I’ll put some elastic laces in them and they’ll slide on and off pretty easy. Definitely easier than some boots.

Just ordered a few rapid home Covid tests from Amazon. I think we are in for a long haul and these home tests may be useful. All the local drugstores near me are sold out.

Thermal paste for laptop.

Laptop needs a new ram module. Figured while adding that, might as well apply some quality thermal paste since the laptop runs hot.

Video capture device. Looking to finally digitize enough VHS tapes to retire the tapes.

My order said if I ordered within 17 minutes, item would arrive tonight. I'll believe when I see as my luck hasn't been good with those rush shipping from Amazon.

Best thing I ever did 5 years ago was set up an external 4TB 1+0 RAID array for all my backup data. I have it connected to my iMac via thunderbolt but it could also be a network array. Very reliable and simple to setup on a Mac..

SSD gets all the fanfare. But brand new Seagate 2TB HDD is only about $50 these days .
