Good one Greg. Can you explain what you mean by bus depot days?Apocalypse . . .um . . .SOON said:I miss him too, well only when I'm feeling maudlin . A number of years ago an old friend acquaintance from the bus depot days was in town. We went out for a pizza and beer. He told a story about going home one night and part of it included passing a serious rollover accident on semi-busy road. He ignored the victims completely, just making a derogatory remark about them while getting to his point in the story. I realized he wasn't a good person that night.
After that when checking out tenants for apartments, after the patter and exchange of information and showing the place, I would always ask myself as he or she walked away "Would this person help a stranger on the side of a road?" It is my basic screening method and has worked fairly well for years to make on-the-spot decisions about people's character. JG would stop and help.
