Your 42 years old.
You are can accept one of the two situations below.
Binding contracts, no change of heart permitted.

1. You must continue to work 10 more years until you are age 52 for a salary of $1 million per year. Then you retire and recieve a pension of $100,000 a year for the rest of your life.

or

You can retire now at 42 and receive a pension of $100,00 per year for the rest of your life.

What do you choose?

No Brainer for me since I can live easy on 35K per year I am gone at 42.

I guess it would depend on the job.

If it was the lead photographer for Playboy Magazine, I'd guess I would 'tough' out the next 10 years 'working'. :D

Take the money!

I'm with Bruce1-- I can LBYM and invest the difference to take care of any inflation concerns. I'm outta there at 42.

It's because I've never found Cut-Throat's "dream job", one where it's hard to believe that you get paid for having so much fun...

Ditto, gone at 42. BTW, the Playboy job has no appeal
as I am married to a natural beauty.
