Who has the best cell phone family plan ?

In light of the land line/911 thread. What type of cell phone plans are you using, cost, likes, dislikes, etc. Planning to go to a family plan for DW and I in the near future and have been looking over the different plan. They all look quite similar in cost for a basic family plan, two phones, 700 minutes, free nights and weekends. Whaddya think ?

Some plans don't count in-network minutes, or they give you lots of minutes of in-network calling for no charge.

Check with the folks you frequently call who use cell phones, ask them about their provider (might ask about coverage, customer service at the same time).

My brother got an ATT phone, then discovered he called Verizon subscribers. He switched when his contract ran out.

I like Verizon. They seem to have the most reliable network, too.

Check with friends and neighbors to get a sense of which company has the most reliable connections in your area. Connection quality can be a big deal. Verizon seems to do best for our area.

Brat's suggestion is important if you like to talk a lot to friends and family during the week.

On Cingular I have unlimited time to family members and it might be to anyone with Cingular. Works for us, wife & I are joined at the cell phone.
