My screen name is/should be a warning message to everyone that I don't know squat claim to be an expert on anything here; I'm trying to learn as I go.

beginner
somebody who is just
beginning to learn something.
A novice.
I happened to be fooling around with the avatar creator at SP-Studio the day I signed up, so my avatar is me if I were one of the kids on South Park.

Name: Stems from our motto (DW & I) when we first started racing sailboats, 'just don't be last', and we've never finished last except when we had a major gear failure.

Avatar: Changed several times, current choice is just a fundamental truth of investing, seems appropriate for this site. I'm not inclined to change it often, as I 'recognize' members by their avatars.

Signature: I change it often, whenever I tire of current or just find a new one I like better. I've always liked clever quotes/adages. I have 10 pages of them I've collected over my lifetime, constantly adding new ones.
