Ya sas from Crete

Hi Everyone.

I have been in Greece for the last week and just wanted to see what's up here. I LOVE it here. It is just beautiful. My daughters and I have vistited many archological sites, museums, monistaries, etc. We have joined a group from the University so the whole trip is set up including lectures on the history of Greece. We are traveling around on a Merceedes bus in style.

I am seriously considering optaining my citizenship as my father was from here. My daughters would love the opportunity to attend university as well as work anywhere in the EU.

Anyway....the threads have been very interesting.

Hi LovesLife, I really liked my visit to Crete many years ago. There is a LONG tradition of hospitality to strangers, maybe why it becomes easy for them to open restaurants?

Revies Zorba The Greek before staying. "You can never go home again" and stuff like that. But adventure away and keep us posted on your internal and external travels.

Re: Ya sas from Crete

I went to greece for 2 weeks about 10 years ago with another couple and the four of us ended up staying a month. Really, really nice people (except for those little droves of old ladies dressed in black that will run you down on the sidewalk, and the two guys who picked up my girlfriend and tried to walk off with her, but those are other stories). Good food. Weather of the gods. Much to see and do.

Kali meta (Good morning)

We are in Santorini enjoying the beautiful sunsets. It truely is paradise. The people are very friendly and go out of their way to be hospitable. The history is so amazing. It's going to be tough to leave here, but I really miss my husband.

We have taken some great pictures and when I get back I'll post some. We are coming back on Monday.
