2018 tax forms - when?

I got a kick out of the "exemplar" taxpayers, including a couple making $1,000,000 per year. I saw only one retired "exemplar" couple, and it was two men.

Thanks...you are correct; went back and just ignored the invitation. Gave same answer as HR Block which hopefully validates both.

If you have the desktop version of TTax:
- go to Forms mode by choosing View / Forms from the menu or pressing Ctrl+2
- click the Open Form button just above the list of "Forms in My Return"
- type "what" in the search box on the popup
- click on What-If Worksheet in the results list

I am using the desktop Premier version, so it's possible that this feature doesn't exist in Home and Business.

Got it. Thanks. Now I can play.

Thank you - I don't think I would ever have found this on my own!

Interesting results... with our mix of income and deductions the TCJA is not helpful to this early retiree. I have to massively bunch charitable deductions into a DAF and then try to squeeze as much medical into one year rather than the following to be able to itemize. Plus, no more property tax bunching now that the SALT cap is in place. For the same amount of Roth conversion, we will pay higher taxes. Luckily for us one of us reaches Medicare age soon. :(
