Many years ago, my dad bought 4 individual car garages (deeded) in a large city with lots of parking problems. It has worked great for him. He's never had a vacancy and except for the occasional bad tenant, it has been quite profitable (think low maintenance and taxes). My mom is thinking about renting out her own garage since her condominium residence limited parking and she could use the extra cash.
47 years old, single, no kids. Exited the job market in 2010 (age 36). Have lived solely off my investments since 2015 (age 41). No pensions.
