A really basic question

My Social Security full retirement age is 66 + 4 months. My birthday is in mid-January, so I will be 66 + 4 months around the middle of that May. What is the first month I can receive the full benefit, May or June?

July because they pay the following month. I was mid-Sept. and received first check in November which I believe was technically the October payment.
