The Evensky and Katz stategy is very similar to Ray Lucia's "Buckets of Money" (registered trademark) strategy. Which, btw, I have adopted.

Agree. The main differences to me are that Lucia calls for a bit more in cash and offers a more sophisticated withdrawal strategy. He also has modeled and tested his plan more thoroughly - Evensky's is more anecdotal.
