This is a new feature (benefit) that my bank offers. Have any of you folks had any experience with this? It looks to me as if could be beneficial if you did a lot of bank-by-mail deposits.

That's a neat idea. Our bank provides postage-paid envelopes for sending in deposits, but I do worry about what would happen if they were lost in the mail. (Good luck trying to get a second rebate check printed.)

My credit union does something similar. I log in and input the check information (check #, to who, from who, amount) and the credit union posts it to my account and it available to me IMMEDIATELY. Then I drop them in the mail the next day. I love it, although I don't use it a lot because I don't get many checks for anything anymore.
