I though I would start this in time for the 1st of 2020. I included Bank deals as most folks post them here anyways.

Happy NY to you all and hope all you CD & MM investors/savers have a prosperous (and Healthy 2020).

Fine fresh plan. Columbia Credit Union:

"If you, or anyone in your family, lives or works in Washington State or the Oregon communities of Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah, and Washington Counties, you’re eligible to join!"

Just bought a 3%/60Mo CD from them. No need for it to be IRA.

Community Shores Bank (MI) Rewards Checking Earns 3.25% APY

Deal Summary: Rewards Checking, 3.25% APY on qualifying balances up to $25k.

My cash bucket is at Coastal Credit Union. Checking gets 3% and MM gets 2%. The checking has a limit of $10k, so I keep close to that in there, with the rest in the MM. You have to have 30 transaction/month on their debit Visa to get these rates, but so far that has not been a problem (I use it for everything).

I used to have everything for my cash bucket in VMMXX, but this is more better, and no fees.

Best rate I could find for a no strings money market account.

https://allamerica.bank/personal/banking

This is where the majority of my idol cash sits that I have full access to without penalty whenever needed.
This is a good rate, but I found Live Oak bank offering 1.85% APY no minimum balance, and no maximum limit. You can mail in a check, but, they prefer ACH transactions. Unlike Allamerica, tho, there is no credit or debit card associated with the account.

Space Coast Credit Union (FL) Has Leading IRA CD Rates

For Local Folks, this appears like a great Deal in today's market. This is where we have 50% of our Retirement Nest Egg. It is a 30 mile drive for us but has been worth it.

One thing to be considered is they Pay Dividends Quarterly.

Deal Summary:

IRA CDs – 6-month (2.25% APY)
12-month (2.55% APY), 18-month (2.55% APY)
24-month (2.63% APY), 30-month (2.68% APY)
36-month (2.73% APY), 42-month (2.78% APY)
48-month (2.93% APY), 54-month (2.98% APY)
60-month (3.03% APY)

Those are some good rates especially the intermediate.

Are you saying you are 50% cash/CDs?

Unfortunately it doesn't extend into Hillsborough, but did get at GTE 60 month at 3.30% APY.

Seattle Bank (seattlebank.com) current CD rates competitive, decent website
Interest Rate APY 3 month 0.60%; 6 month 0.80% 9 month 1.00% 12 month 2.20% 24 month 2.30% 36 month 2.35% 48 month 2.40% 60 month 2.50. $1000 min

I’ve been taking advantage of the Andrews FCU certificate specials of 8 month at 2.05%, 13 month at 2.15% and 17 month at 2.25%.

Opened an 84 month CD for $20,000 at Andrews Federal Credit Union, for 3.05%. One year of interest is the penalty for early withdrawal. It was a difficult task to complete. Glitchy website, customer service reps that contradict one another, long wait times for reps to answer the phone. One rep actually told me there was a $10,000 max limit on the CD. One rep told me the EWP was only 6 months interest. Not wanting to diss Andrews too much, just relating my experience. Glad I finally have the CD established, since 3.05% is a good rate these days.

When I opened an 84 month certificate long ago the EWP was 180 days.

I have had no trouble opening CDs on the Andrews website although a while ago it did take me some time to figure out to click on the “+” sign to open a new CD.

It looks like Navy Federal is offering the add-on feature to existing IRA CDs for a limited time (4/15/20). Some details at depositaccounts.com

Thanks for that clarification. The announcement seemed a bit rushed.

I’ve been on the website everyday and never saw anything about this until I noticed an email. Fortunately all my NFCU CDs already include the add-on feature but you can’t really tell by looking at them and you have to call or message them to add funds.

I called Navy, and they said they did not have any info this?
Am lost here...........lol ..Many of their CD's offer the add on feature....
Is this something new?
