Credit card fraud and ID theft statistics

That’s right. It has been over a year since I set up the new passwords and I keep them in Lastpass secure notes as I don’t need them that often these days and would hate to forget them.

I wonder if they don’t do this in the US because too many customers would complain, and too many vendors would be afraid of offending their customers.

All of my accounts are setup to alert me whenever there is a transaction - and all of them send those alerts almost immediately EXCEPT for Bank of America which consistently takes two days. I stopped using that card.

Bingo... that is the the slow alert one

Perhaps like how we have chip CC, but not Chip & Pin when using the card to buy stuff.

Getting that balance of ease of use against security is obviously a difficult line to walk, and I’m sure they take the hit on occasional fraud to keep the revenues high.

Yes, anything to get our stuff faster, feed our face faster, etc.

And then when hacked, we complain, complain, complain.
