Oh no, not the dreaded wh@$&! My portfolio has been doing so well for the past 6 years, reaching a new high this month. I guess the party has to come to an end at some point.

Yep - buy high, sell in a panic. Shoulda guessed - we've more than doubled our market investment just in the YTD. Where else should the market be expected to go?

Well, I just rebalanced... This is a fairly rare occurrence because of the wide rebalance band I use. (May 2013 was the last time, July 2008 the time before) on the other hand I always seem to rebalance early so party on.

Harking back to my Navy days, I'd say that on the chart of retirement investing, W2R must surely be noted as a hazard to navigation.

For every low, there's a high and for every high there's a low.
When each of those might occur it seems only W2R will know.

Frankly I think Thursday and Friday was an aberration because the market is ignoring a lot of weak economic data. So it will probably be short-lived. But we can all still blame W2R when the market changes its mind.

I'm not changing my AA, but I did spend some time shopping/browsing on Amazon last night.

The TSX has not been doing as well as the DJIA but my personal Canadian portfolio has beaten the TSX and my personal US portfolio has beaten the DJIA over the past 3 years (see attachment). Maybe I should set myself up as a portfolio manager!
The TSX looks terrible in this graph because of the rise in the US dollar.
