That sounds like you think the pitch maybe contagious. You could catch something just from being in the room. DW feels that way which is why we don't go plus I would look odd going alone if they would even let me go without her.

We were seriously tempted to set up a private appointment with the last salesman whose dinner we attended, a while back. But his pushy assistant/secretary completely turned us off by demanding we put our ages on the form - right there at the dinner. "I don't want that on a piece of paper, we'll give you that info when we meet," I said. She insisted. I said, "I'm sorry if you don't like it, but you're not getting that information." She raised her eyebrows and made a huffing sound. Lack of class! Good-bye!
