Free Tax Return Service

Last year someone had posted a link to (I think Tax-Act) for an (absolutely) free tax return service. Anyone have anything similar for this year?

I see Turbo Tax and HR Block have free for under AGI of 59K and fees for above that.

Being FIREd and cheap, I am looking for the cheapest way to do it.

No, still using Tax-ACT. It is not a tax return service; you do it yourself.

Dollar Tree stores were selling the basic version of TaxCut for $1.00 a few weeks ago.

Check your local AARP, they may sponsor a free tax prep service. In my county (Brevard) their are several locations you can go to if you are (55 or older) At Patrick AFB where I do volunteer tax prep thru a similar program you can get your taxes done free if you are a vet, dod civilian or on active duty the service includes free efiling too.

I used FREE online tax preparation - file your taxes with FreeTaxUSA.com and it was supposed to be $9.95 to file Federal for AGI over $56,000.

I used a coupon code of FREE1040 and it was free this year. Then I filed my state return for free at my state's tax site.

I hope your state is included.
