FYI - Top biggest Funds on the Planet

https://www.bloomberg.com/profession...vestor-revolt/

Hot Off the Press,

Not boasting but like many of us here we are in 3 of the largest 5 funds in the world,
namely VTSAX, VTIAX & VBTLX which by the way are three of our all Vanguard five fund Portfolio.

Looks like all are following us or we have been with them for the last 25 or so years.

I know just some more noise. but we are doing some thing right.

Two of them are core holdings for us, and probably will be even as I simplify/reduce our holdings over the decades ahead. We have 10 funds, and I could drop to 3-5 and it wouldn’t make a big difference.

Yeah, but that is a good news/bad news story. The good news is that most of the money is going into low cost passive funds.

The bad news is that AGTHX is not only a weak performer, it is mostly sold as a load fund with front-end, back-end, and 12b-1 fees. IOW it is sold by predators to the naive.

Well, if that's the case its at least better than getting whacked with a front end load. American does list no-load share classes for the AUM guys. But still, this is a fund that is sold, not bought.

I'm all in at Vanguard large funds, except cds and a few stocks for fun. Is anyone concerned that Vanguard is moving out of Hong Kong and into China?

To the extent that the PRC views it as a reward for bad behavior I am disappointed, but in the financial context it's part of a trend. Here are a couple of recent articles from The Economist.

I was able to see these without logging into my account, so hopefully they are not behind a paywall.
