"Good deal" One Year 5% CD maturing at NFCU

Like many others (heard about it at E-R.org), wife and I signed up for the small CD good deal at NFCU a year ago ... $5K each at 5%.

They are both up in Sep 15 ...

What are the best deals out there, now ... easy to roll over at NFCU, but normal rate now looks like 0.85% - they have a new account 3% special, but doesn't look like we're eligible since we took the 5%.

I would like to keep the $10K or so in CDs ... don't need it for anything right now.

Thanks!

May have unnecessarily started a new thread when this one was already on the boards ... http://www.early-retirement.org/foru...-yr-78372.html.

Has anyone found anything better than what was mentioned there?

Sorry of the duplication of the question.
