I'm thinking of juicing our bond holdings a little by adding some high yield, probably VWEHX (I'm open to other ideas). But I wonder if the bloom is off the rose after a pretty good run-up this past year, and if downside risk outweighs the better return.
Our other FI holdings are a little bit of VFSTX andVWESX, and much more Total Bond Idx. AA is about 75/25, 2/3 in tax-deferred accts.

The avg. duration of VWEHX looks pretty reasonable, so I'm guessing the risk lies more in a worsening economy/default scenario than in a rampant inflationary environment.
But I readily confess my abject ignorance. Any thoughts?
