Treasury Direct made the local news when a local man called the ABC 11 "Troubleshooter" reporter. He was having all the issues mentioned here.

The Troubleshooter reporter apparently performed a miracle and got it done for him. Even the government pays attention to these consumer reporters.

"They say you can transfer it out of the account, but you have to fill out this special form. After I filled out their forms and jumped through all the hoops that they asked me to, it seemed ridiculous that I couldn't do an online transfer," Shook said.
