how long does the "cleansing cycle" usually last?

been in this cycle since about Dec, right?
well how long does the "cleansing cycle" usually last? and does it stay bad the entire time?

Depends on how dirty the laundry is.
Particularly discomfiting if this is the first time through the wringer.

Ive been with Fidelity over 10yrs - started after my last fulltime job - 1993
This is the first time Ive "retired" on that Fidelity account and w/a 72T

how long does the "cleansing cycle" usually last?

Only the Big Guy up above knows for sure. Best to spend as if it is going to go on forever and be pleasantly surprised when it does not.

1) More like end of october
2) My crystal ball doesn't work anymore

retiringat50 - this is 1 of 2 recent posts you have made where I sense alot of anxiety - which is only natural given your situation. I wonder though do you have a plan for how you will manage a bear market of 1, 3, 5 or x years?
