Impact of disability status on claims against spouses SS

My DW appears that she will qualify for full disability due to her medical condition, which is a few years before her age for full security rights. We were wondering what impact that would have if I were to go ahead and file for Social Security - will she still have to reduce her percentage by the number of years she is short of full retirement age, or does her status as disabled give her the full percentage of her portion of claim against me? Anyone know how this works?

I don't know the impact. However, if either I or my wife qualify for SS, I would file. A bird in hand is worth more than a flying pig-- to me.
