Vanguard Global Equity vs Total World index. Year to date results are better for the managed fund. Is the crowded index strategy creating opportunity?

I think it would be a fool's errand to judge any investment orinvestment strategy based on less than 3 years of results.... that would be a minimum... 5 or 10 years at the least.

Yep looks like VHGEX is performing better than VTWSX.
It also has a higher MER by .30 ( .51% vs .21%)
And the turn-over rate is 45% vs 15% so this would create issues in a taxable account at least I would think it would.

Both do worse than VTI which charges 0.05% MER

After 5 years the winner is.. the managed fund. After expenses. Turnover in an IRA is of no consequence. Vanguard & Wellington do a good job with their managed funds. I think any boat even the index boat could develop a leak. Here I am just askin for trouble.
