just met a milestone on the retirement trail

Our house went into contract--the one we are selling. Got what we paid for it in 2005, right before the crash. Yay!

Yep, we just signed a contract on our house in the deep south also. Moving further north into the NC mountains for four seasons and cooler summers.

Great news. We're hoping to get our act together enough to sell and downsize before we have another crash. Our prices are not back to the peak but they are a lot closer than they were at the bottom of the recession.
