No not for me!!! I have a family member who may be facing this and would like to be more knowledgeable.

I'd like to help this person but also don't want to throw good money after bad. I love them but would not have made the same money choices.

I think being more knowledgable is my first step.

When I want to learn something that inolves the law I usually visit NOLO (here), read their primers on the subject and often buy one of their books. They are no substitute for an attorney but are very useful for learning some basics.

SIL went through it for a business. There was a lot of strange stuff they were told to do, and apparently it worked OK. There's not a lot of common sense involved. Hire an attorney and follow their advice.

Thank you. I went to NOLO and started reading. I'll keep doing so.

I have no interest in giving advice; I just want to have a better understanding of what may happen.

Thanks
