Monte Carlo now can be used by brokers

Hello Folks,

Found an interesting article. http://cbs.marketwatch.com/news/stor...EBD323C326A%7D

Here is the first sentence, "Under a new rule effective this week, registered representatives -- a.k.a. stockbrokers -- can now use something called a Monte Carlo simulation to show how likely or unlikely an investor will be to reach his or her goals."

Not sure what the new rule is. Thought someone might enjoy.

Cheers,

Chris

Can't you just imagine how brokers will use a tool like Monte Carlo sims to hoodwink gullible investors? In the hands of an amoral salesman, I think it's downright dangerous.

"Using" it is one thing.

"Explaining" it will be a far greater challenge!

Oh, waitaminnit, they're stockbrokers, not financial analysts. I guess they don't have to explain anything they sell.

Ronin,

I'd be interested in hearing a review when you get the results...

Thanks,

Chris
