PIMCO Real Income Fund

PIMCO just announced 2 new funds based on laddered TIPS. These are
managed payout funds that are designed to return your principal plus
interest on a monthlly basis over 10 years or 20 years if memory serves.

These might be a good choice for an early retiree needing to bridge the
gap before SS kicks in. They should provide payout adjustment based
on CPI.

I think this is worth investigation and comment by our esteemed group.

Cheers,

charlie

I don't know any thing about the fund at this point, but I'm interested.
Will try to get expense ratio and info.
Looking forward to comments,

Here's a paper on the longer term:

Steve

Any comments as to how these might work in retirement in a taxable account?
I'm always interested in conservative and basically guaranteed ways to produce income for retirement income.

The ticker for the fund maturing in 2019 is PCIAX. It will be available on
Oct. 30. There is a sales charge of 3.75%.
