1979 for 105k. It goes up 2% + additional bond measures every year. We pass them all
Frankly I'd rather be taxed on income than home value because that seems more equitable to me. My home's value is really only relevant when I go to sell

Just outside of Nashville. 25 acres, zoned for subdivision, 40 year old, 4200 square foot house.
Value? Probably 800k-1mill.
Taxes 1950
Insurance (537k replacement cost, 500k liability, 2500 deductible) is 1650
Excess policy allows the low liability amount.

NH. No income tax or sales tax here.
Property tax is $5000 for house only. HOA owns the land.
Homeowners insurance is $540. New construction 1100 square foot home is one year old. Paid $275,000 for it.
We don’t live by the coast. We live up high within walking distance of the big lake boardwalk but no where close to it that there could be any water problems whatsoever.

I'm wondering if those with what appear to be really high property taxes in other states have more land? I only have 1/3 acre

Interesting. Our condo in Hawaii is worth about $600K but our property taxes are just about 1/10 yours (about $1500).
Don't know what the insurance is as it's included in HOA dues. I'm guessing it's pretty hefty. I'm sure I can find out, but can't do anything about it, so I won't bother. YMMV

Not in my case, Vermont property is only 0.7 acres.... it is just that property tax rates are high, in part due to lack of economies of scale.

Wow I'm feeling kind of depressed reading all these numbers. I knew our taxes were high but...
NW Ohio 2500+ SF house 20 acres land
Taxes approx $12,000/ yr
Insurance approx $1200 with a $1 MM umbrella.
We have lived here 5 years and the taxes were < $7,000 when we moved in!
