Retirement Pessimism Abounds

Anybody who uses Hartford should be very pessismist since their fees are about 2% of assets each and every year. No one could retire paying their fees.

I thought the last line of that quote was going to read:

"...with a hunger for enjoying life being replaced with a concern about going hungry."

Maybe people are getting more sane. 100% should have food shelter and basic needs as their primary concern. Everything else should always be secondary.

Hartford news release said 69.3% of those polled reported their primary retirement concern is paying for food, shelter and other basic needs – significantly greater than the 24.5% who gave that answer in a 2007 survey.
