Safe Havens for Tainted Brokers

Wall Street?s self-regulator blocks scrutiny of tainted brokerages

"FINRA - the industry-financed overseer of brokerages - knows which firms tend to employ advisers with histories of misconduct sanctions, legal disputes and financial distress. But it keeps that data secret and says it can’t prevent longstanding hiring practices it acknowledges are a threat to investors."

This is not real news, but Reuters has sleuthed out and provided in this article a list of 48 firms that employ a large number of shady brokers -- brokers who have serious concerning histories with FINRA.

FINRA is controlled by the financial industry itself, consequently it will promote self-serving interests.
