Should i sell tips

Should i sell tips

I have about 6 %in tips, the rest is in TBM should I sell tips and buy what. VBILX inter-term bond index or any other suggestions.

I was thinking about selling all of them and get out of them. What bond fund would you buy ?

You did not answer the question.... if they were TIPS with 3% over inflation, I would not sell them....


Others will have better info on bond funds.... I only have ST Corp and Hi-Yield...

I have been locking in my profits on TIPS by gradually selling them off over the last 6 months or so with the idea to re-buy in a year or two.

I just couldn't bear to see those 20 - 40% gains when rates hit bottom all slip away. I am just parking the money mostly in short term CDs in the mean time.
