Social Security Earnings Record

I changed jobs mid-year 2019 so I have SS earnings from 2 different employers for 2019. The earnings from my OLD job are shown on my earnings table (at "My Social Security" online), however, the earnings from my NEW job have not shown up.

Has anyone experienced this?

I called the SS phone number and had an estimated wait time of several hours.

Just wondered if I should wait a few months or need to do something now.

I'd wait until the end of this year. There generally is a lag between end of year and the earnings being recorded. For example, even this "June 5, 2018" exemplar earnings statement from SSA shows "not yet recorded" for 2017 earnings. https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/materi...retirement.pdf

So too, a "January 2, 2020" exemplar includes this language:

Quote:
Some or all of your earnings from last year may not be
shown on your Statement. It could be that we still were
processing last year’s earnings reports when your Statement
was prepared. Your complete earnings for last year will be
shown on next year’s Statement. Note: If you worked for more
than one employer during any year, or if you had both earnings
and self-employment income, we combined your earnings for
the year.

Worst case, you have over three years to correct earnings that might be missed.
