Still Waiting for my annual IRS Identity PIN

I'm one of the "lucky" ones who got my tax info hacked a few years back. As a result, now each year before filing my taxes, get an IRS Identity PIN mailed to me from the IRS. As, I need that PIN to prove I am who I claim to be for filing.

Last year, the letter containing the PIN arrived around mid Jan. For this year, as of now, still no PIN.

There is a process to retrieve the PIN online if lost or never received in the mail.

But think I'll just cross my fingers more and wait for the snail mail for a few weeks before going that route. Still too early for me to actually start tax filing anyhow. It's not even St. Patrick's day yet .

Hopefully, my PIN is just late in delivery.

I'll wait until the end of the month. If still no sign of the PIN, will have to got the PIN missing in action route.
