TIP ETF vs Vanguard TIP Fund

I recently noticed that when I get a quote for TIP on my Etrade account it shows about an 8% yield. Based on the dividend shown, it is apparently supported by an actual cash payment. When I go to Vanguard, the TIP fund shows an SEC return of about 1.6%. Can anyone tell me what is going on?

Vanguard reports the real yield which I think is the best way to report it. The SEC yield doesn't include the principal adjustments)

NYSE reports the gross "yield" including the trailing principal adjustments which is 5.58%

Barclay's reports the distribution yield as 8.11%
