I think you mean $100-$100/$100= 0%. (End price - starting price) / starting price. I don't know where your -1 comes from.


Hmm, I guess your way does work too. I just picture it my way.

No, I meant ($100/$100)-1=0% .... just like I said.. (ending value/beginning value)-1

Just like ($110/$100)-1 would be 10% or ($90/$100)-1 would be -10%.
