According to Reuters, the 5 year Treasury Bond Auction on Thursday was very weak.

Anybody worried, or is it just because everyone expects rates to be raised? Inverted yield curve a precursor to market drop?

Also anyone heard of Iran's Oil Bourse opening in March and potential impact on markets due to oil trade in Euro's versus Dollars

EDIT: Shortened URL

Yeah, I lose sleep over this kind of stuff all the time. :D

Duh, its hard to sell bonds when rates keep steadily rising - go figure. As for the Iranian thing, its nothing more than a politically-oriented move that will go nowhere. We are more likely to see oil sold in RMB or rupees than Euros.

F-One, you're gonna have to introduce yourself to Greg "Apocalypse Soon", Martha's spouse, just as soon as she lets him out of the basement. You guys could form your own gloom & doom club...

Yeah I'm a glass half-empty guy. But I always hope for better :), I guess I shouldn't be reading books like "The Coming generational Storm" by Kotlikoff

I haven't found any reason to read it either, nor have I read any of Harry Dent's books...
