Hey, that gold star might be worth some money. Just keep it as a portfolio diversifier.

being gay i thought the only thing i had to worry about was being in league with the antichrist. but apparently now i'm unpatriotic as well. the villagers should be showing up at my front door with wooden stakes, torches & pitchforks any minute now.

of course, when i begin my life of early-retired perpetual travel i suppose that will only prove their point that i'm an ex-patriot, because, you know, it sounds so much like expatriate.

Why are you unpatriotic?

um, well, apparently because i don't work; but really because i do not believe in borders, though i realize that puts this discussion into the soap box and even i'm not willing to go there.

It is unpatriotic to buy a Japanese car, invest in alternative energy, retire early or try to mitigate tax losses now I guess. I think the funniest thing about the article/concept is that the precise reason he says it is selfish is because we WON'T be paying taxes! I mean it IS my generation who will be paying for it, but I don't expect anyone else to change their own habits out of some fabricated altruism, I want someone to fix the problem without guilting people into "Alright, I guess I will work so I will pay taxes and perpetuate other's poor planning." Heh, got to love the motives of some people...

I'm unpatriotic: I live in a small paid for house, I drove the same car for 18 years, I don't have a clothes dryer, I retired at 54.
