"So we'll now sing the second verse. Let's hit it with great exuberance,
let's live it up. It's not raining inside tonight". Used to think of that song while driving scooted to one side of the seat in the ol' Chevy Sprint with the after market sunroof that leaked and would dump water in my lap when I went around corners....good times, good times.

And just because that's such a fine bit of my childhood, Thanks Youtube - really had to search hard just for the lyrics a few years ago - and here's the whole recording!

I have a 2001 Toyota Land Cruiser and a 2006 BMW 328xi. The Toyota I refer to affectionately as the Beast, and I drive it mostly in the winter. It is also useful in the summer to just throw my bike in the back for a ride on one of the local trails.

2 weeks ago we sold 1 of our 2 cars, so the average age just went down from 6 to 3. For a bonus point, what was the age of the car we just sold?

I have two 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass's... A 1969 Olds Toronado, 84 Olds Ninety Eight, 88 Chevy tow truck, 83 Chevy plow truck, and a 92 Yukon...

The Toro has points ignition and a full tank of gas... Points will work if they decide to knock out all solid state electronics

2006 Equinox

This hot 50 something year old chick talked me out of my 94 250 thousand mile little GMC Sonoma - WITH rusty fender. She had a really well fulled out pair of bib overalls.

Just kidding - sorta. Anyway doesn't count - sitting in limbo with a blow head gasket/possibly warped block.

heh heh heh - Dogs are more loyal - thinking of used van to take them down to the Ozarks this summer. .

1980 Toyota Corolla.

I bought it used in 1985. In several months, I will have owned it for more than half my life.

2010 Toyota Camry
2010 Mazda Miata

Bought them both in the past month to replace a 9-year old VW with reliability issues and a 13-year old Mazda in excellent condition, but DW wanted something new...

1 car, a 2007 Toyota Corolla (not one which got recalled, thankfully). I bought it 3 years ago this month.

Before that, I owned a 1991 Geo Prism (basically a Corolla) from 1992-2007.

95 Chevy 4x4 pick up (for haulin' stuff)
96 Ford conversion van (for long road trips)
07 Chevy Trailblazer (primary vehicle)

We live in the boonies where the snowplows come after all the main roads are plowed. For us, its often a choice between four wheel drive and being stranded in the winter.

For the kept car, the difference in age and this year (2010) is 3 years, or 2007 is the year of the car kept.
Year of the car sold was 2001, so the age of the car was 9 yrs old.
Do I get a prize?
Or do I get a dunce cap ?
