Ironocally Canada exports oil in the west but imports it in Montreal.

Probably happening at the wholesale level. The graph in this post Why we havent had a recession (so far) - Paul Krugman - Op-Ed Columnist - New York Times Blog is quite revealing, showing that as the US$ has dropped over the last 2 years, US exports have risen from under 5% to over 12% of US GDP. That's huge, and I'm sure Canada is doing its part in keep the US afloat. Thanks!
