I don't care. The damage has already been done and will likely continue to get worse. A $2.2T bill that potentially could reach $6T in cost. Only in a socialistic/communistic country. Enjoy the food lines.
Sorry, I'm in a sour mood today.

Is there a source for this? The news reports I've read quote the Treasury Secretary as saying that Americans who receive refunds via direct deposit can expect their payment within about 3 weeks. He also said that there will be a web interface for those who haven't set up direct deposit, to do so.
If the payments really do arrive within that time-frame, that would be quite surprising. Previous such payments took longer to arrive.
Anyway, I'm just wondering where you got your info from. Otherwise, congratulations on the extremely brief post.

I must admit that his post was so detailed and well-sourced, I did hesitate somewhat..........
Actually, it would be surprising if checks were mailed out that fast. I don't suppose swift direct deposits would be quite as impressive a feat. Either way, when it comes, it comes. In my case, it will go into the "taking care of sick kitties" fund.

There are a number of new, low-frequency posters. Some posts may be trolling efforts.

I doubt anyone seriously participating in the forum finds this moves the needle at all.

My check will almost exactly match my 2019 Fed tax payment. Such symmetries are not to be ignored. So long as the check gets here before July 15th it's all the same to me.

If we get that payment first thing I’m gonna buy is a new crovel, and a few other critical items for that kit. Maybe a telescope, to look out for asteroides.
If there’s any money left over, a new troll hammer.

I had to Google crovel. Looks like a handy tool. But I think I would put the troll hammer first .

No gubernment checks or deposits for we at this house. Plan to mail out our taxes at the normal time just to have something to do. Figure government needs some income too. Now, if all our tenants decide to not pay rent and I have to pull tax funds from an interest bearing account I may pay slower.
