Wow--just checked my 401K performance as of 10/14/14 and it said .01%. I'm about 63% equity/33% cash-bonds/4% diversified real asset now.

Maybe this is a broken record but not the best YTD results! Two months ago I was at about 4.5% YTD growth.

This does not include my contributions. Guess I'm buying stock cheap huh :)

54 yrs old. Not yet ER'd. Cheers.

This is bad news if you are in the withdrawal phase, but good news if you are still accumulating, or buying funds.

The secret is to buy low and sell high...

You need to update by the minute - S&P has swung ~ 3% during the day!

Buffet has always preached: "if you cannot tolerate a 50% drop in value , for up to 10 years, you shouldn't be in stocks " . I don't think we are headed there.

Good quote. I kept the faith and never sold in the 2009 downturn and plan to keep the strategy this time. I'm also not eligible for ER from megacorp for 1 more yr.
