My wife is 2 1/2 years older than I am. Wonder what my younger ex thought when I didn't marry with someone younger?

One thing I have noticed is that where the women is older they tend to keep themselves in good physical shape.

Not to be mean or anything... but the trouble is the "late" part...

Usually the older one dies first leaving the young one a widow or widower for a LONG time...

That's true but that can happen even if you are the same age .

Thanks Orchids, that is the very couple I was referring to. Here's a bit from a Wikipedia article on this character-

In 1995, he married actress Pamela Anderson. They have two children, Brandon Thomas, born June 5, 1996, and Dylan Jagger, born December 29, 1997. It was with Anderson that one of Lee's most famous incidents arose when one of their private videos was stolen in 1995. The couple had videotaped their sexual activities while on vacation. The tape was widely circulated, and was one of the first examples of nude celebrities on the Internet. The couple divorced in 1998, and he served four months in prison after pleading no contest to kicking Anderson in the crotch. The couple legally divorced, although they reunited briefly upon his release.

You didn't think I was going to let this thread die, did you? Not when I just read about Congressman and Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich (60) with a 29 year old wife (complete with a pierced tongue)!

FOXNews.com - Meet Democrat Dennis Kucinich's Wife: She's a New Age, Tongue-Pierced Brit - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum

But as cynical as I am, it really does sound like this may be the real thing (true love).

I am 9 years older than my wife...but it works great for us! I think it has something to do with men just being more immature than women. As far as the politicians go...I think that must be partly a power thing. Look at Kucinich and his wife, Fred Thompson and his wife Fred Thompson's Biggest Boosters -- His Ex Harem! - TMZ.com

Really now...if these guys were used car salesmen, do you think these women would have given them the time of day

Hmmm... I think it's really love. Love at first sight of the money.

Poor Joe. For so much less money he could have just taken a beautiful showgirl out to dinner and a show. Say he needed her attention twice a month, and budgeted $5000 for each date. 8x$5000=$40,000. My guess is that he winds up paying a lot more than this to exit his marital union.

When will these old rich guys learn to LBTM?

Ha
