DONE with corporate approx 47, tansitional for past 4'ish years. Not really watching the age, never did, likely never will except when my better half reminds me of deadlines (e.g. sign up for pension, Medicare, SS)

Yes- started drastically reducing hours at 48 last March and done before the end of the year. I wanted to retire as soon as I hit my number which turned out to be 45. I'm glad I waited- sort of.

Yes, I am retired.

Retired at age 54 when my three kids were then ages 7, 11, and 17. Took about 20 minutes to adjust. Never looked back and never regretted my decision to leave at that age. I am now 75, and the last 21 years of freedom I look back on with fondness and many good memories.

I am retired on disability. Thank goodness DH and I planned for a comfortable retirement as it came earlier than expected.

The odd thing is that I retired at age 58. The same age that my father took early retirement.
