I retired on August 17, 2018. One more name for the 2018 Retiree list. Although 60 years old isn’t exactly early, it is earlier than I thought we would be retiring. Both DH and I are enjoying the retired lifestyle.

Congrats. Yes nothing beats retirement.
Don't get caught up with an Early Retirement Forum average retirement age.
Anyone retiring before 65 or perhaps the SS FRA is considered early to the masses of this country.

Does not matter much, but mine was delayed until 18 Jan 2019, so you can remove me.

Today is my last day of work. Not sure if that puts me in the 2018 class or 2019 class.

It's been 8 months for me now. The feeling today knowing I don't have to return to work tomorrow after what would have otherwise been a holiday break is pretty darn awesome! Congratulations to the class of 2018, and happy new year to all.

I keep telling my son I'm going to walk him to school AND volunteer with the band director. I don't know how old your son is, but mine is almost 17, so he's not amused AT ALL.

Mine are now 14 and 11- and embarrassed at our very existence. Less fast food, more family time- they're going to love it...

One more for the list

Retired from my part time job on December 19th. Yes, it is good to sip the coffee in the morning and know everyday is a day away from work!

8 Month Anniversary Last Week

8 Months ER anniversary last week! Left the IT rat race as of 5/15/2018 ( already on the Class 2018 roster).
Everyday is Friday, and wake up alarm is set so infrequently that I almost forget how to set it.
For all of the above reasons, I just love getting my life back again after so, so many years. Here's hoping we ALL have many more to come.
